One of the speakers we had at the September seminar for Arrow Leadership was Paul Borthwick. We read Paul’s book Six Dangerous Questions for that session. I also picked up his book How to Be a World Class Christian. We often hear about a world class musician or world class athlete. Why not a world class Christian? This was a very useful book and it is no wonder that Rick Warren recommends it in the Purpose Driven Life. The idea of the book is that we need to get out of our own little bubbles. There is an entire world out there that needs to touched by our faith. Some of the helpful areas of this book is that it helps the reader to find the tools to be aware of the world situation as well as a challenge to embrace a more simple life so that financial resources can go to impacting the world. If you are interested in missions or in how to have an impact on the world around you, this is the right book for you. It would be perfect for a small group that is looking for more than a Bible study but is hoping to be transformed and stretched. I recommend How to Be a World Class Christian as a very helpful and challenging book.
