My good news for this week has to do with our church. I really love Queen Street Baptist Church for a number of reasons. One of the big ones is the diversity within our church. We are both a multigenerational and multicultural church.
This morning, we had one of the biggest turnouts for Sunday school that we have. I have generally pastored at small churches and at times our children were the only ones in the Sunday school. While QSBC is not a large church, our children’s ministry is growing. It is exciting to see.
The other thing that stood out this morning was our participation in the International Day of Pray for the Persecuted Church. We prayed for churches in Iran and Somalia, but not in English. We had members of our church from Zimbabwe, Japan and Togo pray in their own languages. I love hearing people praying in other languages.
Some very encouraging things are happening at QSBC. Just yesterday we had our first men’s breakfast and we had a great turnout. There are other things that are about to start as well.
I’m thankful for QSBC and this is good news.
