It might seem surprising that my Good News is that I’m thankful for my health. After all, I do still have sarcoidosis, diabetes and asthma. That doesn’t sound very good.
However, everything is relative. Less than a year ago, I was taking eighteen pills and fours shots of insulin per day. I felt like a walking pharmacy. Now I am down to five and a half pills and no shots per day. This number will be going down again in the next couple of months.
I believe that it is easier to be thankful for health when it is something that can’t be taken for granted. I feel much better than I did, even six months ago. I will enjoy this health as long as I have it. This is my Good News.
