The Year of Classic Rock

I love classic rock. By classic rock, I mean guitar driven rock by bands that began in the late 60s to late 70s. Bands like Rush, Yes, Led Zeppelin, etc.

In my teen years I went to a lot of concerts but adult reality didn’t allow me to go at the same rate. In recent years, Amanda and I went to a few, such as the Who and the Police.

However, this past year has been a good year for attending classic rock concerts. It actually started in late 2017 by seeing King Crimson. In 2018, I was able to see Jethro Tull, Judas Priest, Deep Purple and Roger Hodgson (of Supertramp). Each of them were amazing. Even though most of them were quite old and I was one of the younger people at the concerts, they were fantastic.

One of the best parts was that to a coupe of them I was able to bring my son with me. He has long loved classic rock and it was so fun to enjoy these concerts with him.

I’m not sure who I will see next year but I hope there will be some good ones.
