30 Day Apologetics Challenge: Day 26
Write an EBook
I believe that people involved in apologetics have something good to say. They have studied the material, interacted with people and have presented good arguments. We have talked about sharing that material in blog and podcast form but there are other options as well.
Many people dream of being an author. While it is not as glamorous as many people think, it is a worthy goal. There has never been a better time to make that dream come true. There was a time when publishers controlled the gates of who got published but that is no more. Now anyone can self-publish and get their material out there.
One of the best ways to self-publish is to produce an eBook. This could be in pdf, ePub or Kindle formats. The benefit of producing an eBook is that it can be done with almost no cost and it can be offered at a low price or even free.
How does one get the material to put together an eBook? If you are a blogger, it is very easy. You can either compile a number of related blog posts into an eBook or you can start a new blog series with the aim of eventually bringing it together.
Writing an eBook does not have to be done through blogging. You can write it the traditional way by sitting down and writing out chapter after chapter. Being an eBook, it does not have to be too long. There is no reason why you cannot publish a fifty page eBook.
My challenge to you is to write and publish an eBook related to apologetics in some way. It could be a small group study, a collection of sermons or any other format you wish. Take becoming an author off your someday list and put it on your today list.
Recommended Resource: Experiencing God Without Losing Your Mind is a book that was compiled from a series of studies that I led at a church I had been pastoring.
