And It Was a Merry Christmas
I have had some good and some bad Christmases. There have been circumstances that I have allowed to turn me into a Scrooge.
But this year was different, even though the circumstances that made it good are the same circumstances that make me uncomfortable.
What I mean by that is that I am an introvert and although I like people, I like them in very small groups. Today we had nine adults and seven children in our house for Christmas.
This was significant for a number of reasons. One is that all of Amanda’s brothers were able to join us. Another is that we were finally able to get our children together as a group of cousins. As an only child, I really valued my relationship with my cousins and so I love to see my children have that same experience.
It was a bit of a crazy day, but it was good. Logan and Abby have been visiting from their group home and they did very well. There were a few incidents but nothing major. It was just good to have everyone together.
I am thankful for family this Christmas and this is my good news.
