And They’re Back!
We went to pick up the kids from camp tonight. It was nice to get there and to be able to observe the kids for a bit without them seeing us. It was obvious that they were having a great time. We were not sure as this was their first time away and it was the rainiest week of the summer. When they did see us, they tackled us with hugs. That is always a great feeling.
They had lots to tell us about what they did (except Justus who lost his voice). They loved the activities and they loved their new friends and they loved their leaders. They came away better able to recite the fruit of the Spirit than I can (I still can’t do it). I can understand now why parents become such advocates of Christian camp. It definitely made a difference. It was so good that all three are now registered for another week at the same camp this summer.
