And This is One of the Reasons Why We Moved Back to Ontario
Even a couple of years ago, I would have told people I had no desire to move back to Ontario from Nova Scotia. And yet there was a part of me that was open to it that had nothing to do with my appreciation of either province.
Our two oldest children live in group homes in Ontario. It was hard moving away from them and it got harder over time. When my dream job opened up and it meant we were closer to Logan and Abby, that was the nudge we needed.
This has made it easier for us to visit them (they live a couple of hours away). But we wanted to move toward them coming to us as well.
This past week, Abby came to Wasaga Beach and had lunch with us at the Why Burger. It had been a very long time since we had been to a restaurant with Abby.
She did amazing and the staff at Why Burger was extremely welcoming. It was such a blessing to be able to spend time with our daughter.
This was special because it was not in Abby’s space. When we visit her, we are always “intruders” to her routine. The quality of our visit is far different when we can visit somewhere else.
We have more visits planned for Logan and Abby. While we miss Nova Scotia, this is definitely one of the reasons why we moved back to Ontario.
