Definition of Success
I had a good day today. I got some important work done at Woodford and First Baptist Church, including getting a number of things ticked off on my to-do list. I did some work on my lecture notes for the course I am teaching at Tyndale on Jesus in the Synoptic Gospels. I got caught up on some work on Hope’s Reason: A Journal of Apologetics and hope to have the second issue out soon.
But what makes a successful day? When I left for work this morning, four of my kids were crying. That is a good thing? They all wanted me to stay home and play with them. Although, it was hard to see them like that, they actually want to spend time with me. When I came home from work, three of the kids were in the driveway to meet me almost before I was out of the car. I had a longer lunch than usual, but it was because Amanda and I took Logan, Justus, Emma, Faith and Halo out for lunch and had a great time.
I am thankful for productive days. I am more thankful for quality family days.
