Face to Face
My good news for this week is about the opportunity I had to speak at the Apologetics Canada conference in Barrie. Apologetics Canada has been running conferences in BC for a number of years but this is the first conference they have had in Ontario. In fact, I can’t remember anything like this in Ontario before.
They had some fantastic keynote speakers, including Greg Koukl, Andy Bannister and Richard Howe. It was great to be able to meet these talented speakers in person. It was an honour to be able to lead two breakout sessions at this conference. I taught on the Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Jesus Myth Theory.
As great as the teaching was (both in giving and receiving), one of the highlights was the networking. I had the chance to meet in person numerous people that I had only interacted with on Facebook or Twitter. Can you imagine that these people were real? I really enjoyed talking with them and sharing stories.
Being at the Apologetics Canada conference was a tremendous experience. I would like to thank all the people who worked so hard to make it happen. Being a part of this is definitely good news for me.
