First Course Down
A month ago, I began as a permanent instructor at the Canadian Forces Chaplain School and Centre. Last week, I finished teaching my first course.
Sort of.
Technically, it was the third course that I have taught for the school but it is still my first course as a permanent instructor.
The interesting thing about teaching is that every class has its own personality and is unique in some way. This class was special in its own way as we had our first Indigenous Knowledge Keeper chaplain and our Buddhist chaplain. I am loving the diversity within our chaplaincy.
I had two excellent chaplains that I got to teach with. This is one of the things that I really appreciate about this job, the team aspect to it. It is something that I enjoy, as I am very aware that others are strong where I am weak.
I look forward to teaching many more courses during my time at the school. I’m so thankful for the students and the staff. I am blessed.
