Good News: Combined Worship
As a pastor, one of the things that I enjoy the most is partnering with other congregations. Churches are not in competition, we are all on the same team.
Brookfield, the village where we live, as an annual event called Coming Home to Brookfield. It is over a week of special events all across the village.
Part of that includes combined worship services that take place outdoors. Yesterday, we had our first one, where Brookfield Baptist Church joined with Knox United Church and Middle Stewiacke United Church.
We had a beautiful day to come together at the old train station and worship God together. Rev. Michael Henderson brought an inspiring message and we had uplifting music.
The best thing is that we get to do it again next week at another location in Brookfield. This time I will be preaching and we will have a combined choir.
I really appreciate these opportunities and I’m thankful that this is a regular part of community life.
