Good News: A Full Day at Church
I’m just coming to the end of my first year at Queen Street Baptist Church and I’m still loving it. Today was no exception. It was a very full day.
The morning began with our Christmas cantata, Go Sing It on the Mountain. The choir did a fantastic job and Amanda and I were able to participate as narrators. It is fun to be able to work with Amanda on something like this.
In the afternoon, I joined our Spanish congregation for their service. I have known the Spanish pastor, Isaac Martinez, for twenty years, having gone to seminary together. He invited me to preach and so I preached for the first time with a translator. Isaac’s wife, Elizabeth, did a great job in translating my message.
Then in the evening, we had a Grace Notes concert at our church. I wouldn’t say that I’m normally a quartet kind of guy, but this is my second Grace Notes concert and I really enjoy their music. They are talented and fun and I really appreciate this music.
This brought the end to a full but an enjoyable day as part of Queen Street Baptist Church. This is my Good News.

I think it’s very important to connect with the church you belong to. I am glad that you have found somewhere that you enjoy. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you.
