Good News: Fun on Cape Breton Island
Last week I had the opportunity to go to Cape Breton Island, specifically Sydney. This is an area of Nova Scotia that I have not had much opportunity to explore.
My main purpose was to do some work as a chaplain, but it worked out that I was able to bring two of my daughters. I was not sure they would come, as it is 3.5 hours away.
It ended up being a very fun time. We were able to visit a few shops, go out for dinner together, and then walk along the beach.
More than anything, it was time for me to spend time with my girls. They are in their mid-teens and these next few years will go by fast. These times together are so important.
After our time on Cape Breton, we were able to go and visit my son. That went well and it was nice to be with three of my kids together. It was a good time.
