Good News: Fun on the Lake
I have talked a lot about how much we are enjoying Nova Scotia. We were reminded of that again yesterday as we spent time at a local lake.
This small lake is only a five minute drive from our house and it has public access. We spent much of yesterday at the lake, either swimming or going out in kayaks.
It is a beautiful place and is remarkably quiet. We would have had to drive hours to go to something like that in Ontario but it is literally minutes from our house here.
The best part was just having quality time with the kids. They are easily sucked into just spending time by themselves in their rooms. But they had a blast just hanging out together.
The best part is that because it is so close, we can go back as often as we want.
