Good News: My Family is a Blessing
Today is Valentine’s Day and tomorrow is Family Day (in Ontario). Both days remind me of how blessed I am.
I am so thankful that Amanda is my wife. She is an incredible woman who is amazing as a wife and mother. We do not have the easiest family. There are plenty of challenges that have come our way (autism, mental health issues, sarcoidosis, other various health issues). Amanda does not like the label of a “super-mom” and I understand that. But she does admirably with what life has given us. I love her very much.
I am also thankful for my children. At this moment, four of our five children are together. Abby wasn’t up to visiting us this weekend. I never anticipated that two of my children would be in a group home or that we would bring three other children into our home. Our family is full of surprises. But each of these children are precious.
So my good news is that I am a blessed man. I thank God for my family.
