Good News: On Vacation
Vacation used to mean something different. I looked forward to vacations to get away and enjoy something different. Now it is just a break.
2020 has been a long year. COVID-19 has worn me and everyone else down. Everything is so much more difficult. All that was simple is simple no longer.
Add to this that I am just coming off of leading six funerals over the period of about a month (three were three days in a row). For context, I usually have one or two funerals per year.
This is not complaining, it is just some of the reason that I’m thankful that I have one last week of vacation.
I hope to get some rest. I also hope to get a significant amount of work done on my thesis.
I’m on vacation and this is Good News.
