Good News: Overcoming Fear
Our daughter has a complicated relationship with Halloween. On one hand, it is her favourite day. On the other, there are costumes and masks that really scare her.
For the last couple of years she has been terrified of a particular bear mask. She didn’t even like going into stores that sold it.
This year, she was determined to overcome her fear. She decided to walk closer to it and stare at it until she was no longer afraid.
This weekend, Faith not only walked up to it, she picked it up and put it on. That may not sound like a big thing but that was a major overcoming of fear.
We are very proud of her and that is my Good News.
