Good News Times Three
I didn’t have time to do my good news post yesterday, so here it is. To make up for it, I actually have three things that I want to share.
Yesterday was a very busy day. I was preaching at Toronto Chinese Baptist Church in the morning and Woodford Baptist Church in the evening. The plan was to have a babysitter watch the kids, since Amanda is still in the hospital. Unfortunately, I found out Sunday morning that our babysitter couldn’t make it. Our kids absolutely hate driving and this was going to require over five hours driving with a day starting at 8 am and and ending near midnight. I anticipated the worst and yet the children were fantastic. They were far better than I could have ever imagined.
The second good news is the service that I participated in at Woodford. This was their 160th anniversary service and I was honoured to be able to preach at that service. I had pastored at Woodford for over nine years and it was so good to back. I really love that church.
The third good news happened at the Woodford service. I saw my son Justus go and speak to the pastor but I did not know what was up. Before I preached, the pastor invited Justus up and Justus gave a testimony of his thankfulness to the Lord. It was a very moving moment for me.
So it was a very busy and long Sunday, but it was also a Sunday filled with good news.
