Graduation Day!
I am proud of all of my children. I love them for who they are and not just what they accomplish. Having said that, I do celebrate what they accomplish.
This past week, our daughter Emma graduated from high school. This was an exciting day for our entire family.
Emma started high school not that long after we moved from Nova Scotia, which had a somewhat different system than Ontario. This was also still during the time of the pandemic with all of its complexities.
Emma has accomplished so much with this graduation and I am so thankful that I was able to be there.
I have been teaching at the chaplain school in Ontario over the past month. When I was asked to teach, I initially told them ‘no’ as I needed to be at the graduation. They were quick to assure me that I could attend by taking a few days of leave.
This meant a lot to me, both being there and knowing that the chaplain school supported me in this.
For now, I am just proud of Emma and her graduation. It was an emotional time and it hit me harder than I expected.
