Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special – Review
What do you need to expect from the Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special? Well, it’s not Infinity War or Endgame. But then you probably already knew that.
The plot is that Mantis and Drax hear that Peter Quill (Star Lord) had his Christmas ruined as a child and they go about trying to fix it. They do this by travelling to Earth and getting a special gift for Quill: his hero, Kevin Bacon.
I will admit that the special is pretty cheesy. But it’s cheesy in a holiday special kind of way. It has a charm and it reminds me of the holiday specials that I would watch as a child.
There was some funny jokes, including the mention of Batman/Bruce Wayne. The focus is definitely on the humour and not on a deep story.
I watched the special with my daughter and it was exactly what she needed. It was fun and light. I would say it is worth watching and might even brighten up your Christmas.
