Jesus Centered – Review
One of the influential experiences in both my Christian walk and my ministry journey was going through the Arrow Leadership Program. What I loved about it was that it was more than putting forth a bunch of leadership concepts that work equally well for Christians and non-Christians alike.
Arrow Leadership is about Jesus.
However, only a limited group of people can go through the Arrow program at a time and a growing number of people in our churches and Christian organizations need to be led more by Jesus, live and lead more like Jesus and lead more to Jesus.
Thankfully, Steve Brown, who is the president of Arrow has written Jesus Centered: Focusing On Jesus In A Distracted World.
As I read this book, it felt like an Arrow refresher course. I don’t mean that I knew all the content and so learned nothing new. What I mean is that Jesus Centered got me back on track, reminding me of what is important at exactly the time that I needed it.
Jesus Centered is filled with biblical teachings, proven leadership principles and engaging stories from Steve’s life and ministry. This is a book that as soon as I finished it, I knew I would be returning to.
While not written specifically for the COVID-19 context, Jesus Centered is the book that we need right at this time.
