Make a Joyful Noise
This has not been an easy day. It has not been an easy week. But I am determined to find something good each week. That good thing happened this morning.
We have a lot of issues with our youngest son. He has ADHD among other challenges. He keeps us on our toes, in some ways more than our children with autism.
This morning as I was getting ready for church I heard some music. I stuck my head out into the hall and saw Amanda on the guitar and Justus singing. Justus was making up words for a worship song. He had previously written a worship song on the piano. This was a new one for him.
The good news of this was not the quality of the music but rather the fact that Amanda and Justus were having quality time around a God-centered activity. It did not mean that the day was going to be easy (it wasn’t) but it was a reminder that God was in there somewhere.
It is days like this that you have to look to the little blessings and embrace the good news.
