Moving Ahead
This is a hectic time for the Bedard family. I will soon be teaching at the chaplain school at CFB Borden. That was one things that we knew for certain. Everything else has been up in the air.
Until recently, we did not even know where the family was moving to. We knew that we had to move as we have been living in the parsonage belonging to the church that I just resigned from.
I will admit that this has been very stressful. We knew big changes were coming but had very little understanding of what they would look like.
At the same time, it felt like we were in a funnel as we moved forward in time, options narrowed and so did the uncertainty. There is still much uncertainty but not quite where we were a month ago.
Our original intention was for me to live on the base and the family to live elsewhere, at least at the beginning. This now seems unlikely.
Our current plan is for the family to move close to where I am teaching so that we can all live together. We have a place we are hoping to rent once the details are worked out.
There is still much that is unknown but things are becoming somewhat clearer. It is sort of like how the optometrist tries different lenses and asks which is clearer until it is narrowed down to the proper prescription.
We are not there yet but we are closer than we started the process. I take this as Good News as I choose to focus on that which is positive rather than the stress of the unknown.
