Thanksgiving is traditionally a time for people to give thanks. I have had times when I have had to force myself to find something to be thankful for. In fact, these Good news posts are my attempt to build thankfulness into my routine.
I do not want to give the impression that my life is all sunshine and roses. There are some very real stresses in my life and there are burdens that I carry.
At the same time, I am feeling thankful. I can see so many areas of my life, both personal and professionally, that I am thankful for.
You do not need to have list of everything that I am thankful for and I do not need to write it. I am more interested in sharing that as I get older, I am becoming more reflective about life. Priorities are shifting and new perspectives are embraced.
A certain day in October (for Canadians) is not the only reason to think about our blessings. This is why I actively try to cultivate an attitude of gratitude.
This Thanksgiving, I am thankful to be thankful.
