The Adam Project – Review

There is no lack of science fiction movies on Netflix right now. I really enjoy science fiction but the large number of movies being made means they vary widely in quality. I was not sure what we would get with The Adam Project.
This movie revolves around time travel and time travel movies are usually hit or miss. This ended up much better than I expected.
The basic plot is that Adam travels back in time to when he was twelve years old. In his time, the technology for time travel is available but with some concerns.
He was told that his wife died in the past and his mission is to save her. Missing the right date, he encounters his younger self.
I won’t spoil the full plot as there are a number of twists and turns. Basically there is a villain who needs to be stopped by changing the timeline. But that change will radically alter even some things that are good.
Beyond the sci fi element is just the concept of meeting your younger self. What would you say to your twelve year old self? What changes would you ask them to make?
And what about going back to see your now deceased father? What kind of things would you want to get off your chest?
These human aspects are really what made The Adam Project worth watching. Yes the sci fi stuff was fun but it touched a nerve with what it had to say about human relationships and the regrets that we hold onto.
I definitely enjoyed The Adam Project and recommend it as worth watching.
