The Birthday Month
We have five children. Three of those five children have birthdays in April. This is a big month for our family. As they get older, this time of year impacts me more and more. In a few years, we won’t even have some teenagers.
This week, my two sons both have birthdays and then later this month, one of my daughters has a birthday. All three of these kids are just amazing and I am proud of all of them.
When I think of all of the roles I have in my life, there is perhaps none more challenging and rewarding as that of being a father. I cannot help but have more respect for my parents.
We are at a time when our children are finding their own way. Each of them are so different and their futures will continue to be distinctive. My prayer is that they will each become the best version of themselves.
