The Excitement of Starting a New Website
I have been blogging one way or another since around 2006. I have started a number of blogs since then, each time learning something new.
This post is on my main website. I have a lot of content here, most of it divided up into sub-blogs. This is still my main focus.
But I still feel the itch to start something new. The attraction is that I can start from scratch, putting into practice the things I have learned right from the beginning.
My newest website is the Jesus Myth Theory. It includes a new podcast as well. It has been a lot of fun growing this site. I only have about fifteen posts there as of the time I am writing this. To put things in perspective, there are over 4,000 posts on this website!
I wouldn’t recommend starting too many additional websites. It is very easy to lose focus and to be bad with all of your sites. However, I wanted a focused site on a topic that I have written a lot on.
I have been able to apply strategies that I have learned over the years and it feels very satisfying. Right now my focus is on creating content, but I will eventually balance it with my other blogging activity.
I don’t think that I am over doing it as I have only three personal sites (plus my church site).
What about you? How many website are you currently running?
