The Kids Are One Year Older
The fact that some of our children have had birthdays in recent months is not all that remarkable. However, for our family this is a time of great change.
We have five children. Four of the five have birthdays during a five week period. We dread when people ask how old our kids are because during April and May, we really don’t know. There is even a couple of weeks when two of our daughters are the same age.
This was a significant year as our oldest turned twenty-five and our youngest turned eighteen. We officially now have all adult children.
There is a stage of raising children when they seem to hardly age at all. Then suddenly someone turns up the speed and they all grow up.
I want to take this opportunity to say that I am proud of all of our children. They are all gifted in some way. They bring us joy (and some other emotions).
We are thankful for each one of them. They are gifts from God.
