Top Ten Christian Apologetics Books

Although I have my own favourites, I do find it interesting to discover what other people like in the area of Christian apologetics.

As a result, I am sharing Amazon’s top ten list. However, I am changing it a bit. The reason is that they include multiple formats in a way that one book can appear three times in the list. I will mention when more versions have appeared but I will only link to the paper version. I will also note if I have read it and if I agree with it being there.

1. Preaching by Timothy Keller (USA) (Canada)

This book gets high ratings in paperback, Kindle and Audible. I have not read it but as a Keller fan and a preacher, it is on my list.

2. Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis (USA) (Canada)

This book also gets very high ratings in paperback, Kindle and Audible. I have read it multiple times and have listened to an audio version. Definitely a classic.

3. The Reason for God by Timothy Keller (USA) (Canada)

This book gets high ratings for paperback and Kindle. I loved this book as it is a great example of how pastors can minister as apologists.

4. On the Path of the Immortals by Cris D. Putnam (USA) (Canada)

I know absolutely nothing about this book.

5. The Knowledge of the Holy by A.W. Tozer (USA) (Canada)

I must confess that I have not read this although I know I should.

6. The Complete C.S. Lewis Signature Classics by C.S. Lewis (USA) (Canada)

I have read many of the books in this collection but not all. It would be a great introduction to Lewis.

7. Jesus Among Other Gods by Ravi Zacharias (USA) (Canada)

I have not read this book but I do enjoy Ravi Zacharias.

8. The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel (USA) (Canada)

I have read this book and I highly recommend it as introduction into the world of apologetics.

9. Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus by Nabeel Qureshi (USA) (Canada)

I have not read this book, although I have heard great things about it.

10. More Than a Carpenter by Josh McDowell (USA) (Canada)

I read this book many years ago. Josh McDowell was one of the pioneers of modern apologetics aimed the popular audience.
