Walking Dead: Season 10 – Review
Yes, I’m still watching the Walking Dead and for the most part, I’m still enjoying it. There are some natural challenges for a series, just being this far into its run. You can only tell the same story so many times. While the series is still strong, it is probably good that it is ending soon.
The nature of this season was that it was a couple of mini-seasons. The first part was wrapping up the story about Alpha and the Whisperers. I thought that the concept of the Whispers was pretty good but I was getting tired of the story. I didn’t really enjoy Alpha, although I kind of liked Beta.
It was nice to have that finished up. Of course, this led to the next big baddies. We were teased with the Reapers and then the soldiers of the Commonwealth. Things are getting complicated.
More than all of that, I liked the character development. Some good stuff was done with Carol, developing her into more than the tough lady who doesn’t care about anything. Even more than Carol, was the development of Negan. The introduction of Negan was the beginning of the end for many TWD fans but he is becoming one of the most interesting characteristics.
One of the major events was the reminder that Rick Grimes is still out there. Michonne finds a clue and this sets her off on a quest. This quest will likely not continue here but rather in future TWD movies.
The tenth season of the Walking Dead was good and enjoyable. Not near as strong as earlier seasons but still worth watching. It kept my interest.
