Were the Paris Terrorists Syrian Refugees?
A number of people have expressed fear of allowing Syrian refugees into their countries as a result of the terrorist attack on Paris.
Is this a logical fear?
The assumption is that the welcoming of Syrian refugees opens the door to a greater danger of terrorist attacks.
But who were these terrorists? Four of them have been identified, as you can read in this article. Only one of them seems to have hid among the Syrian refugees. The rest were French nationals. Interestingly, I have not heard anything about refusing immigration of French nationals.
The point of this post is simply that we should do our homework instead of assuming a strong connection between Syrian refugees and terrorism.
