20 Years of Marriage!
Today is our 20th wedding anniversary. Twenty years ago, just after a big snow storm, Amanda and I were married at what was then Central Gospel Temple in St Catharines. Some of the family that celebrated with us are no longer with us and we also have new family joining us.
I found it interesting that when we went out for dinner tonight, we both had one memory that stuck out. We were living in Meaford at the time and were having an argument. We had a back deck that was on the second floor. Instead of composting, we would throw our apple cores over the fence and into the woods behind us. I handed a core to Amanda even though we were fighting. She did a really wimpy throw and the apple exploded on the railing of the deck. The argument ended as we both burst into laughter.
We had a fun day today. Both of us have tattoos but we have been talking about getting matching tattoos. So today we did that. We both got “Not all those who wander are lost,” which is a quote from Lord of the Rings.

I’m thankful for these 20 years. In some ways it feels shorter and other ways it feels longer. We have had a lot of adventures, some of them fun and some of less fun. But we have done it together.
Love you Amanda!
