Reason & Religious Belief – Review
If there is a secular counterpart to Christian apologetics, it is the philosophy of religion. In fact many Christian apologists seek out degrees in the philosophy of religion. One of the best books I have read on this subject is Reason & Religious Belief.
I have read a number of books on the philosophy of religion, and many of them are dry and difficult to read. This one was not like that. I found it interesting and readable.
It is not written from a Christian perspective and so it shouldn’t be read as a text on Christian apologetics. However, it is a helpful book for those interested in apologetics.
The philosophy or religion is bigger than Abrahamic versions of theism, but this is the focus of this book. It looks at all of the important questions about how philosophy informs our understanding of God.
