Burden of Proof
There are times that critics will make claims against Christianity. That is fine and even good. It keeps us honest. However, sometimes a critic will attack Christianity without evidence and only an assertion. They will then expect us to prove our position, content in their own assertion. Do not let them get away with that. The burden of proof is always on the one making the claim.
Imagine being pulled over by a police officer for speeding, even though you were not. The officer did not have any evidence from a radar gun, it was just a hunch. He then demanded that it was up to you to prove that you were not speeding. That would be foolishness. Yet, that is the kind of thing people pull all the time. Anyone, non-Christian or Christian, who makes a claim must retain the burden of proof.
