It has been some time since I have added a new blog topic to this website. Wisdom would probably say that I already have more than enough. But I have been thinking for some time that there is one area of my life that is not reflected on this website.
My love for classic rock music.
It all began by listening to a cassette tape of Rush’s Fly by Night album one Christmas Eve with my cousin, while I was in my early teens. I was hooked.
My first album I bought was by Iron Maiden and my first concert was Rush, with FM as the opening act.
Recently I have started buying vinyl records again after having gotten rid of my collection (regrettably) many years ago. My intention is to review each album I purchase for my new collection. I also hope to review concerts, although I find it hard to find good concerts where I am living now.
I should also mention that I am going to use a very broad definition of classic rock. It may include progressive, heavy metal, folk, and a number of other genres. But since this is my blog, I get to make the rules.
