Getting an Apologetic Foothold in Your Church
You may understand the importance of apologetics, not just for professional apologists, but for the average person in the pew. But how do you introduce apologetics to your church? Many people are intimidated by the word apologetics. Even if you avoid that word, it is hard to find resources for those with no background. I have tried to use some of the existing introductory material, which is great for those with some apologetics background, but for my congregation was too confusing. Not every congregation is like that, but many are.
That is why I wrote Experiencing God Without Losing Your Mind. In fact I wrote this as curriculum for the church I was pastoring. I cover the main apologetic questions people will face without getting too deep into the philosophy. I found from experience, that we had the best conversations with this study compared to any other Bible study I have led.
