Good News: A Great Thanksgiving
This was a better Thanksgiving than I had expected. With the pandemic, we never know who we are going to see or what it will look like.
On Saturday and Sunday, we were able to have Logan over for a visit. This was the first overnight visit in a long time. This also included Logan coming to church with us, which was so good. It was great to have him with us.
On Sunday I dropped Logan off at his group home and then went over to see Abby at her group home. It was one of the best visits I had with her in a long time. She was very interactive and communicative. There was lots of hugging, laughing and even some crying. It was a precious time.
Today, the rest of us got together with the extended family for a Thanksgiving lunch. It was fun to be around so much family. Except for the part when one of my young nephews called me, “grandpa.”
This has been a weekend to be thankful as it should be.
