Good News: A Joyful Noise
I have been really enjoying my time as the pastor of Queen St Baptist Church. They are an incredible congregation and I am looking forward to what God will do through this church.
Something happened in church today that filled me with joy. There is a young man in the congregation who has autism. During a number of worship songs, he let loose with what I call a joyful noise. As I heard his voice, I felt like this was the worship that we were meant to offer to God.
This young man is in many ways an older version of my son Logan. They make similar sounds. This made me think of Logan but it also was a reminder that worship is not a production but is something deeper. It really touched me.
This worship experience is my good news.
