Good News: Drumhead Service
I am one of the chaplains of the Lincoln and Welland Regiment. I absolutely love being a part of this regiment. Army regiments and churches have somethings in common, one being traditions.
On of our traditions is to remember the liberation of the town of Bergen Op Zoom in the Netherlands during the Second World War and the role our regiment played in it.
Normally we do this at our regimental church but because of COVID-19, we were not able to do it this year.
My colleague, Padre Korcok, suggested we do a drumhead service out in the field. That was what we did and it was very moving to be part of it. I was thankful that I was able to participate in this.
