Good News: Getting Settled In
We have now been in Nova Scotia for a week. When we arrived, all we had were the suitcases that we brought on the plane. Now things are beginning to feel more like home.
Our boxes arrived from Ontario, and while we are still putting stuff away, at least we have most of what we need. We also purchased a vehicle. We went with a Jeep Patriot and we are really enjoying it. We even got Nova Scotia driver’s licenses!
Today was the kids first day of school in Nova Scotia. It is a very stressful transition for them but they are doing well.
Amanda and I officially start at Brookfield Baptist Church tomorrow. We have already done some things but that will be our first day in the office.
In many ways it all still feels unreal. Are we really in Nova Scotia? Are we really at a new church? We have already noticed some changes. One is that we are all much less anxious. Even the animals seem calmer.
We are loving the people here, both from the congregation and from the community. I think village life is really going to agree with us.
