Good News: Meet Maggie
I grew up always having cats and for the last fifteen years or so, our family has had cats. A number of months ago we lost our cat Pekoe. Would we get another one?
Apparently so.
Today, Maggie came to live with us. She is about seven weeks old, which is far younger of kitten than we have ever had. Maggie has a sad story.
A cat near some friends of ours was recently killed by a car. It just so happens that they happened to check a shed soon after and found three very young kittens. They took them into their home to care for them, no easy task without a momma cat.
Maggie has now come to us. Our dog Lily has barely left her side and Lily gets nervous when either us or the other cats come near Maggie. It is too soon to know what our other cats think of Maggie.
The good news is that we have a kitten. It will probably be a lot of work at first because of her young age but we are happy to have her in our family.
