Good News: Once Again to the Rescue
My Good News this week is something that has happened a little too often lately. Sunday morning, I woke up sick. While five years ago I might have pushed through, in a COVID-19 world (even without a positive test result) I am more careful with my public activity while sick.
However, I was supposed to preach on Sunday morning at Brookfield Baptist Church.
So that morning, my co-pastor (and wife!) Amanda came up with a message and not only took over the complete service at BBC but also led the afternoon service at the nursing home while I rested.
This is not easy for me as I take my responsibilities very seriously. At the same time, I am thankful for Amanda, for who she is and her abilities, that she can take over last minute like this. This is another example of why the co-pastoring model is so good.
