Good News: One Year at Brookfield Baptist Church
In two days, Amanda and I will have been co-pastors at Brookfield Baptist Church for one year. We have been living in Brookfield, Nova Scotia for just over a year.
It was a big step for us to move here for a number of reasons. One is that we had always lived in Ontario and coming to Nova Scotia was a big change. We also were pretty happy at Queen Street Baptist Church and so a change was going to be hard.
One of the main reasons we came to Brookfield Baptist Church was the opportunity for Amanda and I to pastor together. This has worked out very well and we have definitely tested the limits of it with various family crises, including broken bones, bad backs, and emergency trips to Ontario.
We have really enjoyed being at BBC. It is a fantastic congregation with some amazing people. This past Sunday we had a town hall meeting where we dreamed of the things that we can do in our community. The engagement with this brainstorming was so encouraging.
We are thankful to BBC for calling as their pastors and we look forward to years of ministry with them.
