Good News: Pastor Amanda Returns
One of the best decisions Amanda and I have made was to co-pastor. This has been great on a number of levels, one being that our gifts complement one another.
One aspect of co-pastoring that we did not anticipate is that one of us can take over for the other during injuries or illnesses. We have had to take advantage of this more often than we expected.
Most recently, Amanda has been on leave from Brookfield Baptist Church because she has been recovering from both a concussion and Lyme disease. This has been a difficult time for Amanda and she made the wise decision to take a break and focus on her recovery.
Now Amanda is still recovering, but she has felt better enough to return to work as of September 1. This past Sunday, was her first time back in about six weeks. While she is starting slowly, it is great to have her back.
I’m thankful for two reasons. One is that we are better pastors together than apart. But more than that, I care about how Amanda is doing. While she still has a long road ahead of her, she is moving in the right direction.
