Good News: Recovering From Covid
So it finally happened. I tested positive for covid. This was a real concern early on in the pandemic as I have a compromised immune system. There was a real danger of what it could do to my lungs.
Thankfully, I have received three doses of the vaccination. So now, when I did get it I was not in danger.
That is not to say that my experience of covid was just a bit of a cold or flu. I felt pretty rotten. It was the sorest throat I have ever had. In general, I just felt terrible. Exhaustion was a big part of it. I think my first day, I had three naps.
My Good News is that I am feeling much better. I still have some fatigue and have napped most days. I also have some brain fog and have let some important things slip.
My impression of covid is that it still is a serious issue. I felt much worse than I normally do with a flu. I can see how some people have had some major health issues with it. It definitely is very contagious, as four out of the five of us tested positive.
