Good News: Some More Time
This past week we took our cat Whitney to the vet. Whitney is about fourteen years old, has a significant limp, and does experience pain. We know that one of these visits to the vet will be her last one.

We went to the vet open to hearing the options. We understand that at some point we will have to make a difficult decision.
We were happy to find out from our vet that there were some other options, at least at this point. There is some pain medication that we are now trying and seeing pretty good results with. Whitney is less cranky and seems more comfortable and is not completely doped up.
This makes us happy. Whitney is the cat that went missing for a month and was found in another city. We had already grieved her loss and are not ready to do it again quite yet. Plus, Whitney has adopted out kitten Maggie and has been showing her maternal side.
Whitney is an old cat with arthritis. One day we will have to let her go. But for now, she gets to stay in her spot laying next to Amanda, purring louder than our other three cats put together, keeping an eye on the family, humans and animals.
