Good News: Vacation and Cottage Time
I just finished a week’s vacation from my work at Brookfield Baptist Church. Having a week off would be enough for my Good News post.
However, the best part was that it ended with a weekend at our cottage. More specifically, a weekend at the cottage with Amanda.
Because of her health, Amanda has not been at the cottage for over a year. The two hour drive has been too much.
Thankfully, we made the choice to try it and to make the journey to the cottage. While I have been to the cottage a fair bit, I was looking forward to spending time with Amanda there.
We had a wonderful couple of days there. We were able to get some stuff done, dream a bit about the future, and also just relax in the quietness. It was a great time.
I’m thankful that we have this cottage and that we had this opportunity to relax together.
