Jesus-Centred Apologetics
I have been involved in Christian apologetics for as long as I have been a Christian. I still believe in apologetics, despite all of the suggestions that the time for apologetics is over.
However, there has been a shift in how I go about apologetics. This is not meant to condemn others with different convictions but only to share my views.
There are some in the apologetics community who believe it is their responsibility to respond against anything they perceive as error (even if it is not related to theology).
They take on the pressure to defend all of a conservative worldview, no matter what topic it touches on. So they need to respond to claims of climate-change or reactions to racism that might include inspiration from Marxism.
If that is your conviction, then God bless you.
However, I try to focus my apologetics activity in a different direction. I definitely am only interested in areas central to the faith. That is not to say that I refuse to talk about other topics, but I see apologetics as specifically about the Christian faith.
But even then, I do not feel the pressure to defend and explain every part of the Bible. I don’t worry about the age of the earth or the nature of the flood or many other issues. That’s not to say those questions are not interesting, but I really do not worry about them.

I try to focus as much as possible on apologetics that relate directly to Jesus. This is why I address the Jesus Myth Theory. I also am very interested in the resurrection of Jesus, as well as the general reliability of the Gospels.
I do talk about other things, such as the existence of God and the problem of evil, but even then my aim is to eventually get the conversation to Jesus.
My job as an apologist is not to defend the entire evangelical theological system (if there is such a thing) but to point people to Jesus. Other apologists may have different views but that is my conviction.
