This is a book that has been on my mind for a long time. As a parent of two children with autism and a former pastor, I care deeply for how churches reach out to families with autism. I believe, and not just as the author, that this is an important resource.
The book is divided into two sections: our experience as parents and practical tips for churches. The book is fairly short because I want busy pastors and children’s ministry workers to actually read it. Although it is aimed at ministering to children, the material in this book is also applicable for youth and other age groups.
I hope that churches will purchase this book, whether or not they already have children with autism in your church. This information is helpful for preparation. I also think it would be a good resource for parents to pass on to churches.
